sharon osbourne should shut the hell up

I don’t know, I kind of agree with sharon, But i also agree with madonna. Those children need help but taking them from their families is not really the best idea. If they are loved and wanted by that family then all they need is help surviving. I’ve adopted a child before and it’s very hard to do, but worth it…especially when the child’s family didn’t want them. So my point is, is that right now it seems the popular thing…to adopt kids…and i think sharon was saying that. I love madonna and sharon…two very different people, that are very sweet…

What most peopple are pissed off is that she spoke the truth. I mean why else do people give the celebraties krap for adopting babies in Africa. It’s for the publicity. I know what sharon meant. I understand. She compared the way celebraties adopt children to the way celebrities shop for purses. The one person who I have thought who didn’t do it for the publicity was sharon stone. She adopted a baby 2 months before the press found out! think about it; Madonna has a book coming out soon and why not find another way to stay in the limelight? What about a little Q & A with Madge with real questions about why she adopted a baby in Africa? Same reason she had the cross in her stage performances. She’s a loser just like the rest. Sorry MK, I am not like you and think most celebrities are like Mommie Dearest. Remember the movie. That’s the image I get when I see celebrities adopt and what the future might hold for them. Look at it economically and it would all make sense.

I think the difference between Madonnas adoption and the adoptions we hear about are that most adoptions are about kids that are given up because people don’t want those kids OR aren’t ready. Sometimes it’s because they aren’t financially stable at the time. But this is kind of different. You have to think, IF Madonna would have offered to make the child healthy and then give the Father enough money to raise the child which probably is more than she spent on his nursery already – would the Father have preferred that? If given the option? Would he have said, NO take my son to another country and raise him. Or give me just enough money to feed him until he is 18 and I’ll keep him? It sounds like he ONLY gave him up because he couldn’t feed him and that he visited him all the time. It also appears that in Africa – having a white person adopt you is some sort of lottery ticket. Like his son won the lottery and is going to come back and bring him out of poverty when he is 18. Like he is going to hold on for 18 years for his son to come back and help him and he is hoping Madonna will send him some money to. I think he wants the best for his son and he is best off with Madonna I’m sure. But the media was going to have a field day with her adopting a child that had a father. Especially one that was still so involved in the childs life.

Madonna is washed up, what did all this get her? more publicity, she has enough money too support that whole village if she wanted to. she is immitating other celebrities, who is the hottest female celebrity out right now? angelina, well madonna your no angelina, I’d rather have the child be with his father rather than being raised by madonna’s nannies

i totally agree with sharon. she’s so right. angelina and madonna are doing the same thing….buying babies and turning them into hollywood brats….instead of leaving them in their own culture and helping their families……

I’m NOT sorry to say that I completely agree with Sharon. I think Madonna saw how much publicity Angelina got and she tried to do the same shit…the difference? I truly think that Angelina is doing it for the better of the children. Madonna….well lets just say that I wouldnt be surprised if we never hear about the kid again when all this blows over. It’ll be…’ Lola, Rocco and that kid that she adopted from africa….what was his name again???’ Madonna truly is the “Material Girl”….fake english accent and all.

I’m really shocked by these comments. Publicity Stunt, tired old bags, blah blah aside… If a child is in an orphanage in America, Africa or anywhere, chances are it is because the parent couldn’t afford to keep the child. It is not the responsibility of the adoptive parents to support the birth parents. Yes she should have adopted a child with no family, that would have been better on all accounts, but to say that Madonna should have given David back to his father is simply not part of the equation…
Plenty of weathy people (not all public figures) adopt, are you saying they should not adopt and instead spend money to return kids to their families with a big cash prize. it’s such an ignorant response to all this, and it just makes me sad that people are so clueless about what adoption is. I’m sure all adoptive parents and adopted kids are just cringing at America’s hideous response to this fairly nice adoption.
