oh my word – i’ve had too much fun and way too much wine! i was so lucky to be invited (thanks j) to this crazy sexy cool show right here in hollywood (a two block walk from my apartment) called taking the jesus pill which was this southern gothic rock opera that told the tale of star crossed lovers set against a religious background that included a crazy preacher (think robert duvall in the apostle) and the devil himself – i just can’t say enough about it! i give it a FI for fucking incredible! the show rocked and is only playing two more performances (back by popular demand) at king king (for any angelenos out there – this is MUST go & see) the venue was simply amazing and i totally felt the show was going on all around me – the themes of the show which included religion, redemption, and salvation really got me thinking (even though i am not a drop religious (who has the time?) i am fascinated by the topic) one quote from the good ol’ bible that was included helped me get my ponder on…

hello – can you spell paris?!? gosh there are so many false prophets these days who can even keep track…but oh my gosh can i tell you at the end of the show this girl fell right in front of me and looked way out of it…at first i thought it was part of the show but when security came and swooped her up (while missing a flip-flop) i knew something was wrong but when we left she was all propped up in a chair comfortably resting! and i must give a special shoutout to my new friend (codename ‘shakira’) who i met during intermission – she’s gonna toss some celeb dirt my way…and tomorrow night i’m off to see the scissor sisters in concert – finally i get to see jake shears in person – i can’t wait! wrapping things up for tonight – please do watch the trailer below for taking the jesus pill! popbytes over & out (and a drop drunk) – xxoo!
