so the last day of august sadly brings us the anniversary of the death of our much beloved princess of wales diana...nine years have passed since that fateful night in paris in 1997 when the princess tragically lost her life along with her companion dodi al fayed - i'm sure you all can remember what you were doing & where you were when you heard the terribly sad news - i was actually out with friends at the palladium back in NYC which isn't even around anymore...gosh i can't believe that nine years has already passed - her very unexpected death hit everyone hard but her incredible spirit and love of life cannot be forgotten - so please keep diana and her two sons in your thoughts today...we still miss you diana!

such a great loss.she was such a "real" person.i was returning from vacation the next day and on the plane it was absolute silence,people were visibly upset,very emotional.

I remember, I was flipping channels late at night and came across the news coverage...she was still stuck in the car at the time. I wanted to rush and tell my mom but I couldn't because at the time I was at a friends house after curfew. Ahh, to be a teenager again...

I was in the family room when my husband came rushing upstairs to tell me Princess Diana died in a car crash. I felt so terribly sad and still do today. She was such a caring person and went through so much unhappiness in her private life. If only she wore her seatbelt.

What a loss. My friend woke me up early the morning after calling with the news. It was ironic because I remember getting up really early to watch her wedding to Prince Charles years before. She really shoud be an inspiration to anyone who feels stuck in their life situation or circumstances. Look at all she sacrificed in an attempt to live her life by her own rules. Can't we be at least as strong?
