syd barrett who co-founded the band pink floyd died on july 7th at the age of 60 from a diabetes-related illness – he was a musician for only a wee bit of time (mainly between 1967 and 1970) before his mental instability (rumored to be schizophrenia) forced him into obscurity – making no public appearances or statements since the mid-70′s he lived reclusively in cambridge (UK) where fans & paparazzi would still seek him out…a biopic called crazy diamond was in the works but was eventually shelved…maybe now it will be resurrected…popbytes over & out for now – xxoo!
