romantic rumors continue to swirl around jessica simpson and comedian dane cook who will both be starring in the upcoming comedy employee of the month (due out sept 15th) an eyewitness for STAR claims that over at LA hotspot nightclub hyde on july 11th the two looked like a pair o’ lovers! (they were) hugging and making out, he had his arm draped over the back of her chair – and every so often they kissed on the lips, they looked very affectionate and comfortable with each other! (i wonder if daddy joe simpson ordered up a security tape of that?)
ms. simpson seems to have bigger worries than ‘boyfriends’ – she is desperately hoping that her new album will kick-ass in sales over nick’s album…she’s telling friends that when her cd comes out on aug. 29, she’s going to crush nick and make him look like a third-rate singer. jessica is desperate to out-sell him. other than album sales, she has nothing to hold over nick’s head. he doesn’t need her for anything, and that drives her crazy (and if that drives her crazy then nick’s girlfriend vanessa minnillo must drive her absolutely bonkers – i sure hope stylist ken paves can stop jess from pulling every strand of hair out of her head!)
apparently mr. cook doesn’t want to be up in her drama though…at a recent press conference (for his HBO comedy special vicious circle) he said no, i’m not dating jessica simpson! but then added she’s beautiful and lovely…so i guess only time will tell if these two will really go for it…a ‘relationship’ could prove to be good press for their upcoming movie but horrible press if the couple went sour before opening! popbytes over & out for tonight…check you all tomorrow – xxoo!
