Since I live in LA (and right now I'm melting like a candybar on a windowsill with this heatwave we're having), this week's mix was picked with meteorological inspiration - and sticky fingers. It's created by mixer CCC in the UK, mashing up the Motown strains of Martha & The Vandellas' "Heatwave" with the 1971 prog-rock swirl of Pink Floyd's "One Of These Days." It starts off ever so eerily, then unleashes Martha's diva wail like she's frontin' a bad-ass Detroit underground band. It rocks!
