You know what I have always wondered, especially when all 5 of the shrews are present and they have 1 or 2 guests (and it sounds like a damn barnyard)-is why they need so many hosts anyway? Other shows get by with one, or two..

Fox News is reporting a rumor that Oprah's BFF, Gayle, may be joining as the moderator....

The one that needs to leave (immediately) is Joy Behar...she is the only one left with any real talent...this show is gonna suck so hard when Rosie joins...and Star Jones Reynolds?...she may kiss my fat white ass.

Star Jones' mother made a HUGE mistake by naming her STAR. She mistakenly thinks she is one. Sorry, but she's nothing more than an egomaniac and big fat phoney. I loved it when she had lost about 20 pounds and said Lane Bryant dumped her because she was "too skinny." Even today, you can't call her skinny, unless your name is AL and you have to for self preservation. And the whole Al/wedding thing was awful. She behaved like an ass, and now it's "coming around" for her. I hope she doesn't turn up ANYWHERE on TV - we've had enough! As for Rosie joining The View - I like her, but I think her personality is way too strong for a group situation. THIS will be interesting.

I am not a Star Jones fan, but Gayle? What status does she have outside of being Oprah's friend? Why is Rosie O'Donnell so upset because Star has not revealed how she lost all the weight? Has she been asked a direct question and denied that she had a medical procedure? If not, then she can choose to tell us or choose not to tell us how. It's not our business anyway.

I was not expecting Star Jones to part the view. Not to say I'm not saddened by the news. She's become a new person that I can no longer relate to since she's lost her weight. Plus many say she's a big biotch !!!!!!!

Congratulations to Meredith. She so deserves the Today Show. I am saddened to hear Star is leaving the view. I believe each one of the women add a unique flavor to the show because they each have different views. The show will not be the same without Meredith and bringing Rosie to the mix will not help. Star is leaving the show? Hmmmm....we wont have to hear the word "Lawyer" much, or "When I was a prosecutor", or "At my wedding". I am truly grateful she wont be signing in August. I don't seem to recall so much venum directed towards STAR JONES pre-weight loss. Jealous, perhaps? Though I think she could have won over many more people by being more transparent about her weight, she's not the evil b---ch that many are claiming her to be. It'd be smarter to keep her, because agree or disagree with her opinions and attitude, people TUNE IN to see what she's going to say next, and that's the point, now isn't it? As for ROSIE... Not a good choice. Ratings will fall -- you just wait and see...

Star Jones contract will not be renewed because of Rosie is coming on the show in September, its very clear to the producers that these two will not get along and something had to be done before september gets here, they feared they will lose ratings if they both be on the show at the same time, because they both are very bitchy and it wouldnt look good for the show, i watch the view today and Star Jones announce that she wont be back for next season, i wasnt supprise, i wont be watching the show no more because i really dont care for Rosie and her attitude and i dont support her life style neither.

It's a talk show for pete sake. What do you do on a talk show...talk about your self. HELLO!!!! They all do it. Remember Kathy Lee? Kelly? Oprah? They all talk about their personal lives and they only let you know what they want you to know. Star is a confident, self assured, proud woman. Don't hate the player. Hate the game. Is Rosie O'Donnell any less self indulgent. NO. She's just louder, more abrasive and has less class than Star. Unfortunately the View has hit rock bottom with this one.

The show was always boring to begin with. A bunch of women sitting around talking about other people and themselves (gossip). Well, I don't need television for that...all I have to do is go to the nearest nail shop, beauty salon or even church and hear all the gossip I want and that will be about people I actually know.

They say the reasoning for Star Jones leaving The View is because ABC was not planning on renewing her contract. You cannot blame them for not wanting her back. She pitch a "BF" every time things would not go her way. When Meredith said she was leaving the show to go do Today Star thought she would be the next runner up for Meredith's position, but that was not in store for ABC. After she made her decision for leaving The View to go to Today, they immediately thought Rosie. Then Star pitched another and her last "BF" about that. Then they told her we don't want you back.

I was shocked to hear about Star Jones leaving the view. I was hoping she would have stayed to duke it out with Rosie. Oh Well, I don't think the show will be interesting anymore. True Star was a bit obnoxious but she is still very interesting in her opinions.

I don't think ABC cares if they lose the black viewers that tune in. Just like with everything else in the world they are the minority.

I was saddened when Meredith, announced her departure, she was the most sincere on the VIew. Star brought a much different perspective (liberal) to the View. I just wonder though "why such a secret on her weightloss?" It would have been nice for her to share her success, for others have medical/weight problems, I thought that is what the show was about!! Joy and Barbara they are both unique. Now for Elizabeth, they need to put that suppossed goody two shoes back on a deserted island somewhere - p.s. I hope Tim cheats on her at some time and she finds out, let's see how her "Views" change!!!

Star seems so self absorbed that the change to Rosie will be refreshing. Rosie has a deep personal commitment to chartible causes that benefit children and has worked hard for many years to promote those causes. That alone is a world of difference from what we have seen from self promoting Star. If Rosie can blend into the view's group situation without ever overpowering the conversation (which would immediately invite criticism) she will do well and bring a fresh outlook that the show could use. My one concern is what will happen when the ladies do their girly sex talk . . . Oh My. . . Rosie . . . we don't want to know!!

I'm amazed that the show ever became popular. I've never liked it. I thought the only reason it stayed on the air was because Diva Barbara has connections. So what that Star announced her departure two days early!! She did so with dignity no matter what Barbara says. Perhaps Barbara should have starred in "The Devil Wears Prada".

I hear Star will be on Larry King Live on Thursday night....I'll be tuning in to see what she really has to say!! As for the show, I watch it occasionally. I wish Star could have been a little more compassionate to the people less fortunate than herself. She doesn't relate very well to the average folk. Meredith had the abitlity to relate to everyone. I'm not sure Rosie will have that same ability. I'll have to tune in when September comes.

I'm totally disappointed that Star will be leaving the View. She spoke like a true Sister (African American Woman) I'm urging all African Americans not to watch the view even if they replace Star with a new African American host, we all know that Barbara is looking for someone who will say what she want them to say and I'm sorry Barbara cannot speak from an African American standpoint as she's not one. I'm not prejiduce I just like the balance from a cultural standpoint that Star brought to the view. The replacement person would have to say what Barbara wants in order to keep their job as they know what happened to Star can easily happen to them which means in all cases were not getting the View from our cultur standpoint....

I used to watch the View every day before Lizzy joined in. Too big a play to fill one seat - too many guest hosts trying out for it and they wind up with this? I always loved Joy, Starr and even Barbara (never liked the Asian gal either) and Meredith is without saying THE best of all 5. I admire and respect Starr for how far she's come and the fact she's an attorney is, imho, impressive. So she lost weight and won't say how - BIG DEAL! All the overweight people are screaming for her to reveal her "secrets"...........find your OWN and work on your OWN weight problems! There's nothing saying she HAS to tell - she made the effort, succeeded and I'm proud of Starr.

The little games that Barbara and the other producer were playing with Starr didn't fool her for a second and she did what she does best - she jumped before being jumped on! I can't WAIT to see what she has to say on Larry King tomorrow night and I betcha it will be a lot of stuff she's had to swallow for a long time. I stopped watching The View when I saw about 2 weeks of Lizzy - just can't take that kid and she'd be better back on the Island she came from. Joy's a hoot most of the time and Barbara is, or rather WAS absent more than she was there. That was wrong - it was "her idea" and she should have been there more. Now I could give a hoot myself what happens to that show. I thoroughly dislike Rosie - always have, always will. She's dirty-looking and a disgusting excuse for a woman. Having her there as a "representative" of the gay community should prove to backfire. Put Ellen there and I'd watch The View again in a heartbeat! Ellen's got CLASS - Rosie's got and **is** a NOTHING. I've never seen or heard a more skuzzy person in my life and for her to cause all this turmoil with a program that's been on for 11 years is a downright shame. Barbara wants Rosie over Starr? Barbara will be back interviewing dignitaries FULL TIME. She should never have left 20-20 because she's going to lose The View too and have more time on her hands than she ever has had.

This isn't about money - Starr's wedding - husband - nothing like that. It's about Starr getting screwed by ABC and Barbara Walters for the piece of carp Rosie that's replacing Meredith.

People are disappointed there won't be any catfights between Rosie and Starr. Go watch the other low-life talkshows for that or surf the net for discussion groups where people do nothing but slam each other. I always found The View entertaining, enjoyable and extremely interesting. If I wanted catfights I'd go to Morey and Chung.

Shame on you ABC; shame on you Barbara; GOOD LUCK TO YOU STARR and I hope you have work knocking down your door!

I always liked Star. So, she was human and had some "unlikeable" qualities also. At least she listened to other people's opinions, quite unlike Joy and Elisabeth. I find it laughable that BW is offened that Star jumped the gun on telling that she was leaving the show by 2 days. On one hand, Babs says they were willing to let Star tell viewer's whatever she wished & that they would back her story. Then she's PO'd that Star told the viewer's what & WHEN she wanted. Get over it Babs! I think Star was a class act when she spoke on Tuesday. How would you like to sit on that stage day after day knowing you were basically being let go in Sept. I hope Star finds success in the future. Maybe she was a diva, but give me her anyday over the closeminded "views" of Joy or Elisabeth. Then, let's add Rosie to the mix. Yessss, SHE's a moderate voice to replace Meredith. . .right!!! Oh well, one less program to Tivo each day. It has been stated by Barbara Walters that ABC decided not to renew Star's contract because she has brought the ratings down because of her excessive talk about her wedding and weight loss. ABC wanted to get rid of Star last November. Barbara talked them into letting her stay longer because of the holidays and her new book. She should say Thank You to Barbara for talking ABC into letting her stay as long as they did. It had nothing to do with Rosie.

I am sorry to see Star leave so soonthough. I was so hoping to see Rosie put her in her place. ROFL

I think this is silly. So Jones had a operation, got married and received some freebe. I never thought she had much of an input on the show. As a matter of fact none of the host have much to offer. To sit around and listen to a bunch of hens can be done at the store,beauty salon and etc. I always check to see who the guest are going to be and decide if I am willing to give them an hour of my time. The view represents a small part of the different people in this world. I have never seen them or Oprah recognize any issue that surround the Hispanic community or have guest made over from that community or speak on topics concering of senior citizens. Every one is not 20 or 40. Not everyone cares who marries whom,what quaterback wife is speaking(which 99 percent is nonesense) , and Gayle as another host, well isn't she doing the same as Star(she offers nothing she just happens to be Oprah best friend) riding on someone else fame. star was the best thing the view had going on. Star put soul where only old bitties sit (With the exception of Meridith) That show needed what star had to offer "class". Elizebeth is a nut. Joy is a insecure mean person. Olbra Walters is washed up and she need to retired from tv. I think that Star was great on the View... I will never watch the View again.
