Who ever writes this stuff is crazy as hell. I have never seen someone make so many jokes about somebody who's religious. Damn, get off it! The girl's not "anti-gay" she was just singing a song! People always wanna bitch. And who gives a damn if she's big? What is it to you? She's happy and content with her size and I'm pretty sure she's not worrying about what people like ya'll are saying about her. She still gonna make it, she's talented so let her do what she does.

Cant lifestyle choices, also be interpreted as staying up doing drugs, selling your body, etc. Why does lifestyle mean gay or homosexual, just wondering.

I did read the whole thing, I know what the hell I'm talkin about. Jesus DID help people overcome things in their lifestyles! Just because one of her favorite authors wrote something about Jesus doesn't mean that the author or Mandisa is "anti-gay." And what's with all this gay stuff anyway? Where did ya'll get that it was "gay coded" by her saying "lifestyle?" I don't think she meant it to offend anyone

Here's some clarification for you. In an interview with The Advocate (you can find it on their website honey), Mandisa says she will never play at a gay club or gay event:
"Based on what I believe, I'm not an advocate for [being gay]." Blah blah blah about your Jesus: good for you. But not everyone in this world lives by Jesus. There are other religions in this world, and unfortunately, there are lots of people using the work of Jesus to justify discrimination and bigotry. So yes, there is a lot of overt anti-gay voices out there, and it certainly doesn't take any "coding" to get it. She may have not meant to offend anyone, but it's not about offending. It's about being being a bigot. And in the end, it's a popularity and a talent contest. Am I going to vote for anyone who thinks "my lifestyle" is a sin against their god? Hell no! It was too easy at that point to remove her from my list. And apparently, that's what a whole lotta people did.
