oh my word! tomorrow night is finally here! the 63rd annual golden globes will take place in beverly hills at the hilton! this show also marks the beginning of awards season!
i always thought these globes to be kinda like the crappy version of the oscars but over the years i have truly come to love this often sassy show put on by the hollywood foreign press association – plus i really think the stars seem to seriously enjoy themselves since they can be seated at a roundtable with food & friends and more importantly drinks…which i am sure makes the time fly by faster than the boring drone the oscars have kinda come to represent – everyone overall seems to be just having fun and lavish gift baskets are always a blast too! the globes have also really become a fairly accurate litmus test for what films will indeed grab oscar gold! all my bets are still on brokeback mountain which i really do think will nab the oscar for best picture – it will for sure grab the globe tomorrow night – mark my words!
i also enjoy this awards show since they also honor TV which i tend to see a lot more of than films – although it is my new years resolution to watch more movies & finally catch-up with my netflix que (i caught the ring 2 last night – the first one was far superior…) anyways today was freezing in hollywood and quite windy – i was able to run a bunch of errands including a drop of shopping in santa monica and grabbing fresh oysters over in korea town – and now i am settling into a 2 hour extreme home makeover and trying to figure out what to post on my monday .mp3 tomorrow – which also happens to be my 30th birthday!
everyone keeps telling me your thirties are the best years of your life – so i am putting my best foot forward tomorrow and really looking forward to what lies ahead…looking back i can say my 20′s were a blast – especially during my wild & crazy NYC days – oh i do miss the east coast so much sometimes but i have settled in nicely to west coast living so i am looking to LA/california to bring on some kick-ass years and some rockin’ times for things here on popbytes – this boy is gonna work it! fuego i say! i’m outtie for now…much love to all as always – and oh yes i will be back tomorrow! xxoo
