11:03PM
i am SO done - it's all over and i am glad - i couldn't deal anymore - i predicted 15 correct out of the 23 nominations i posted below! i am so glad 'brokeback moutain' nabbed best drama - i know it will win the oscar for best picture! phew i had fun tonight! popbytes over & out! xxoo
10:34PM
oh i am growing bored - i am glad 'walk the line' won best comedy/musical - i think johnny & june would be quite proud - here we go for best tv drama - i had all my bets on 'lost'...and yes i was right!
10:14PM
oh popbytes is growing tired! i have been blogging since 6pm - i am so glad to see
ang lee win best director - he totally deserves it - and yes although i am gay - this movie is just awesome!
10:01PM
anthony hopkins totally deserves the 'cecil b demille' award! we love 'hannibal lecter'!
9:40PM
i am doing well in my predictions - 'desperate housewives' just won - along with 'paradise now' for best foreign film! of course as we move into the third hour - we all start to fade! but i am staying on top of all the happenings - so glad 'brokeback' won for screenplay! i love that movie!
9:16PM
i love
jonathan rhys meyers - he is so
damn hot! i knew he would nail this globe for his portrayal of 'elvis' i so love those aussies!
9:07PM
so all the 'desperate' ladies cancelled each other out - congrats to
mary-louise parker for grabbing the award for her work on 'weeds' - and popbytes always loves some good ganja - rock on - and at least showtime has some awards under its belt - it will never be HBO - but at least they are trying...
9:04PM
jamie foxx is about to announce the winner for best actress in comedy/musical - i say it must go to reese - let's see...oh i called another - i do love me some reese - especially her oh so sexy husband
ryan phillippe - all i can say is 'oh daddy' - i knew she would nab this award!
8:45PM
oh
melanie griffith - you just
gotta love her - ok did you all see 'cecil b. demented' - it's a
john waters film that just rocks - and made me change my opinion on melanie by 360 degrees - although i still have a soft spot for 'shining through' - i am having loads of fun - i am thirty today and loving it - yeah a little wine helps - but i so love these awards shows - and tomorrow is the premiere of
american idol - i am so in a pop tizzy overdrive! xxoo
8:30PM
oh my goodness did you all just see
drew barrymore and her boobs? i thought i was tripping for a second - obviously no bra was involved - i thought they were going to jump out of the TV and swallow me - and i am not one to notice lady's boobs - but drew's were beyond out of control - i am surprised they didn't block it for the west coast delayed feed - and ah i just predicted another one correct -
geena davis won for 'commander-in-chief' - i just adore since i love 'beetlejuice' & 'thelma & louise' so much - geena just rocks - and oh yeah who doesn't love 'the accidental tourist'?
8:25PM
ok i am 2 for 2 on my predictions - i am SO glad
sandra oh won for 'grey's anatomy' - which is one of my favorite shows - and she is just so adorable and how often do you see asian actors getting awards - so rock on ms. oh - you did seem just a wee bit excited - i would watch those drinks if i were you! rock on - are we having fun yet?
8:09PM
first award i predicted correct!
george clooney won for best supporting actor in 'syriana' - i loved the opening of the show with the whole 'pussycat dolls' take-off - and queen latifah was a great way to kick off the show - and damn
johnny depp looks hot tonight!
7:57PM
ok people i am moving on over to NBC for the actual awards ceremony! i will be updating the winners below in
GREEN - i hope i am correct in some of my predictions - oh i am having fun although this does seem like a lot of work - i hope some of you are enjoying it! rock on - i will check back in a few after they give the first award out...
7:52PM
charlize theron is so godammned hot! she is stunning! she is so damn sexy!!! long live the theon factor! (oh
heidi klum and
seal) - oh
mariah carey just showed up in chanel - and her boobs are under control - and i think the black kinda helps soften the whole tit factor - she looks good and god bless our dear mariah (yeah i had some wine...)
7:48PM
oh
michael bolton in 'gucci' and
nicolette sheridan in 'armani' - what a fucking weird couple they are! and oh my gosh the red theme continues with
scarlett johansson also donned in red - for sure red is the hot fashion color this year matches the carpet!
7:44PM
mira sorvino looks so weirddddd! she doesn't even look the same - i just watched 'romy & michelle's high school reunion' and i swear the mira in that movie is not the same mira i just saw on the red carpet - someone else MUST agree with me on this point! she looked so odd!
7:39PM
see even
cheryl heines is wearing red! she is a hoot on that 'curb your enthusiasm' - oh my word did you just see the horror of
cynthia nixon - i do love her to pieces - but she looks terrible - is she still with that 'girlfriend' of hers? the one that looked like a man? - and again i think
felicity huffman looks stunning - she is such a classy lady & a great actress! oh my gosh the time is flying!
7:30PM
catherine deneuve - you gotta love the french - she really looked like she wanted to run far away from joan - i love 'umbrellas of cherbourg' - catherine rules! and now joan gets to do
george clooney - something i could do everyday - i just love his whole personality and vibe - and those manly good looks sure don't hurt - and now melissa is with my dear
jeremy piven he is so cute - and i just love my 'entourage' - i really am pulling for him to win - oh the commercial breaks are coming fast & furious now!
7:22PM
did you all see
marcia cross - she is so wrong tonight - wearing a salmon color dress - it's just not right - with her red hair and pale skin - this was so the wrong color choice! last year i think she wore green - which is the perfect color for a red-headed lady - joan looked like she wanted to eat
zach braff for breakfast - and now joan is going on about 'weeds' and
mary-louise parker - i bet joan and melissa for sure get stoned - oh did you see
gwyneth paltrow - she is glowing with her second pregnancy - i so love my dear gwynnie (and her super hot hubby
chris martin) 40 minutes until the show starts...and yes i am doing this from the west coast delayed feed
7:11PM
red seems to be a hot color of the night -
eva longoria is wearing a gorgeous 'bob mackie' dress - i didn't even know he still designed - i thought he just did
cher - and now joan is with
emma thompson who is acting like she doesn't even know who joan is - oh my gosh - melissa has my husband on -
patrick dempsey from my beloved 'grey's anatomy' - i'm not sure about his tuxedo though but he is just so damn adorable! i love him! now joan is with
rachel weisz who i think is kinda odd looking in a 'donna karan' gown - she is also 5 months pregnant - oh i love
felicity huffman's dress - she looks awesome! melissa is back with
jason lee - he is cute in weird way - but he also is a scientologist...
6:55PM
oh
teri hatcher did 'versace' - and
anne hathaway really just wants to meet
alanis morrisette - i hated that purple dress of ms. hathaway's - she looked like a big ol' eggplant - ok one hour until the show starts!
6:35PM
ah hello! so i am tuned into
TV GUIDE channel watching the
joan &
melissa rivers mess unfold all over the red carpet - i opted to watch this over
ryan seacrest on
E! - i think joan is at least funny - i think seacrest would be too dry for this red carpet - so i just spotted
camryn manheim telling joan that she loves to come to this event just to see joan! she looked decent as she could! i do love her and i so miss 'eleanor frutt' and
the practice...
did you also catch when joan was interviewing
eric bana and his wife about
munich - she had the balls to mention the film got mixed reviews and what did he think about that? he covered it up all very graciously - ok back to the show...xxoo
hey kids! i am so excited for tonight's
golden globe awards -
below are lists of the film & television nominees - i have marked my
predictions in
RED - as the show
carries on tonight i will be back updating the winners and checking on
my predictions - i don't want to use the term 'live blogging' since
everyone and their mom seems to have jumped on the bandwagon with that
concept - but in an essence that's what i will be doing - so check you
all laters! popbytes out for now! xxoo
