hey kids! i finally made it late last night to a screening of that flick war of the worlds and by this point i don't care about spoilers so be warned...the ending sucked (i so need either realistic endings, up-in-the-air endings - even sad ones - just not ones wrapped up all neat with a bow that scream happiness) - although overall it was a very decent movie - but the end of course all happy & schmaltzy - i was so done and ready to roll out of the movie - and how the aliens actually die off was explained so very quick (a godammned voiceover! thats a cop out) - if you blinked you missed it - the beginning was great - i was on the edge of my seat - but right around when tom cruise and dakota fanning arrive at tim robbin's house - it was downhill from there - and the aliens - i swear they looked the character from lilo & stitch - anyways i would still recommend just for the special effects alone - but i still think my favorite summer movie so far is mr & mrs smith - i so loved it! ok more tomorrow - oh that fourth of july is oh so near - i'm so out putting skewers on the good ol' BBQ...
