i saw ‘war of the worlds’

hey kids! i finally made it late last night to a screening of that flick war of the worlds and by this point i don’t care about spoilers so be warned…the ending sucked (i so need either realistic endings, up-in-the-air endings – even sad ones – just not ones wrapped up all neat with a bow that scream happiness) – although overall it was a very decent movie – but the end of course all happy & schmaltzy – i was so done and ready to roll out of the movie – and how the aliens actually die off was explained so very quick (a godammned voiceover! thats a cop out) – if you blinked you missed it – the beginning was great – i was on the edge of my seat – but right around when tom cruise and dakota fanning arrive at tim robbin’s house – it was downhill from there – and the aliens – i swear they looked the character from lilo & stitch – anyways i would still recommend just for the special effects alone – but i still think my favorite summer movie so far is mr & mrs smith – i so loved it! ok more tomorrow – oh that fourth of july is oh so near – i’m so out putting skewers on the good ol’ BBQ…
