oh what a character that anne bancroft – and what an amazing actress – she will be surely missed – she became a true pop icon when she played the famous ‘mrs. robinson’ in ‘the graduate’ opposite a young dustin hoffman (“Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me. Aren’t you?”) – and i also love her turn in one of my favorite films (and a heavy one) – ‘agnes of god’ – so rest in peace dear anne – and our hearts go out to your husband funnyman mr. mel brooks! popbytes out for now… Anne Bancroft, who won the 1962 best actress Oscar as the teacher of a young Helen Keller in “The Miracle Worker” but achieved greater fame as the seductive Mrs. Robinson in “The Graduate,” has died.
