amazing race 7 - bye to the brothers!

\nhey boys & girls - read up on that crazy race from popbyte's amazing race columnist mr. jon - i'm a bit bummed the brothers went too - they were funny - it's getting close! five teams left! no worries - i'm so sure the 8th race is on its way! popbytes out for now!

\nWe’re back in South Africa where a ton of cute animals live. I want to go to Africa now. I think that would be an excellent experience. If I only had money.

\nRon and Kelly depart first at 5:29 AM with 85\$. The last team to depart is Brian and Greg at 6:22 AM, which means all the teams arrived within very short time of each other. The first clue tells teams to drive to Sankuyo Village and find a water tower. Their next clue will be there.\n

\nThe water tower clue happens to be a Detour: Carry it or Milk it. In Carry It, teams will have to balance three items on their head and transport them a short distance to a cooking area. They may not use their hands. In Milk It, teams will have to choose goats and milk them until they fill a 10oz cup. \nRon and Kelly, Rob and Amber, Lynn and Alex, Meredith and Gretchen, and Brian and Greg all Milk It while Uchenna and Joyce opt to Carry It instead. They do a damn good job, too. \n

\nUpon completion of the Detour, teams will have to drive a marked path to Khwai River where they will receive their next clue.\n

\nLynn and Alex’s car breaks down and they are sent a replacement. No time seems to be lost.\n

\nThis Khwai River clue is today’s Roadblock in which the roadblocker will have to drive and navigate across a river, choose a path and drive down it (removing a marked post so other teams don’t choose the same path), and move two logs using their car and ropes. Then, they will drive to their clue.\n

\nUchenna, Rob, Ron, Alex, Meredith, and Greg complete the roadblock.\n

\nLynn and Alex’s car gets a flat tire. They have the WORST luck with cars today.\n

\nThe Pitstop is the Khwai River Lodge, which apparently has a pool since Brian and Greg—whoops. We’ll get there.\n

\nRob and Amber arrive first and win a trip, followed closely by Ron and Kelly. Uchenna and Joyce arrive in 3rd but are sent back to complete their roadblock as the rules indicated—Uchenna only took the flag off of the marked post—however, they come back and keep their 3rd place standing. Meredith and Gretchen also failed to get the clue telling them where the pitstop is, so they have to go back and end up in 5th place.\n

\nLynn and Alex took 4th. In a funny moment, Lynn and Alex think they are going to get eliminated, so Alex puts on a TON of clothes, just in case of a non-elimination. Phil makes a “fashion police” comment. Finally, in 6th and last place are Brian and Greg. They both decided to wear their swimsuits to check in so if it were a non-elimination, Phil would “pity” them and let them go. Or something. It was sort of confusing. \n

\nAnyway, Brian and Greg are eliminated and I’m sad to see them go. They seemed to have a great time running the race and they were pretty good at it. They swim in the aforementioned pool.\n

\nTOMORROW: Special clip show where we'll see \"never seen before\" clips. These shows are usually boring.\n

\nNEXT WEEK: Ron and Kelly bicker more than ever and Meredith and Gretchen get a standing ovation from large crowds.
