hey kids! its back on tonight! - the amazing race - below is a recap from our new columnist jon - it was a bit long (the first episode was 2 hrs!) - so below is the start and you can follow a link to read the whole recap - so you can be all caught up for tonight! and expect a smaller recap tomorrow - we are just getting into the groove with this new column so give us a chance! out for now!
'strings blare in the background while phil walks along a boat at the harbour
in long beach, california-the starting point of the amazing race 7!
helicopters fly dangerously close to each other and phil explains that each
helicopter carries a team of two people with a pre-existing relationship. as
our teams walk out of the helicopters, phil describes them all.
since we've already covered the teams, there isn't much to say. ryan and
chuck are doing something similar to a march as they walk from their
helicopter. the boyfriends, lynn and alex, do some sort of devilish laugh in
their interview. susan and patrick's patrick has a voice like a frog that is
already annoying me, and the episode hasn't even been on for two minutes.
forgive the pun, but i see them croaking very soon. everyone looks pumped up
and ready to go, as it should be!
phil voices over and talks to the teams about the rules of the race. we all
know them, you have a bunch of tasks to do, you check in at a pit stop, you
do this and that, you be nice to the locals, etc. etc. etc. rob of rob and
amber - wait, you know who they are - protests and says rules are too good for
him. just kidding. that's what happens in my head. in the perfect world, rob
and amber's helicopter would have crashed and amber would have miraculously
been saved... read more'
