oh gosh! another popbytes friend is back - it's ms. cocohippie - with her thoughts on last night's american idol season 4 premiere - stay tuned - popbytes oh so loves these guest stints! and gives you all the more pop fodder you deserve!
"American Idol begins again…Out with old and in with more American Idol (A.I.) rejects, it just does not get better than this. We of course have Paula, Randy, Simon and introducing Mark McGrath as a guest judge. Curled under my covers peering with squinted eyes and collapsed breath, I felt I was in competition vying for the coveted spot in Hollywood. After watching the first hour, I began to wonder if in fact each contestant was hearing impaired. The sound of dog being hit by a car while choking on bone vibrated through out the tone-deaf contestants. My emotions were all over the place with tears of pain and mad laugher.
Then along came Mary….
Mary the toast of American Idol tonight, picking up where William Hung left off only scary. As Mary opened her mouth, I though what is that sound? It’s very familiar could it be the car from the movie “Uncle Buck?” You remember, the long echoing sound of a whistle then a gun shot…EVERYBODY DUCK! That wasn’t’ the worst part though, as Mary proclaimed, “my friends said I could sing.” I want to know who these people are, for they are not Mary’s friends. No friend would send someone into a battlefield without a weapon. Miss Mary is a fighter for sure though, challenging the judge’s reason to not extend an initiation to Hollywood. At some point I swear I saw her eyes roll back and steam leave her body. Well at least Mark would be safe; I think she would just keep him in her concubine as a love slave. Mark scored a “9” on her hottie scale. Mary if you have a show for all the wonderful voices in your head, please let me know. I want to be your number one fan. Every move you make, every
step you take, I’ll be watching you. Sorry, I was channeling Mary there for a moment.
I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring. If it is anything like D.C. was tonight, then it is truly going to be an interesting viewing. Please be sure to check back, as always I will have something to say. It's good to be back here on popbytes!
