hey kids - this comes out on DVD tomorrow - and im so excited to catch the whole series - i just got the dvd as per below - and im super excited to catch up on what looks like a very interesting series that popbytes didnt have time for the first time around - and the second season starts in january - and whilst i was home on LI - ms. dana (who writes my sassy apprentice column on fridays) and hubby ryan were huge fans - so please do check it out...

In a time of titanic sandstorms, vile plagues, drought and pestilence � all signs of God�s fury and harbingers of the Apocalypse � the final conflict between good and evil is about to begin. Just in time to catch up on season one before the second season debut in early 2005, Carnivàle: The Complete First Season arrives exclusively on DVD featuring twelve, one-hour episodes of the series that sparked Time Magazine to hail it as �magical� and �spectacular.�

Set in 1934 during the Great Depression, Carnivàle follows a traveling carnival as it winds its way across the Dust Bowl. It focuses on Ben Hawkins (Nick Stahl), a mysterious 18-year-old fugitive with hidden talents who is taken in by the carnival, and the charismatic, shadowy evangelist, Brother Justin Crowe (Clancy Brown) who will ultimately cross his path. In addition to Stahl (In The Bedroom) and Brown (The Shawshank Redemption), cast regulars on Carnivàle include Clea Duvall (HBO�s The Laramie Project), Amy Madigan (Field of Dreams), and Michael J. Anderson (Twin Peaks).
