oh i saw a ton of movies while on 'wrong' island - i had lots of fun seeing my family and going to lots of movies! popbytes was long overdue - i have had my fill at the moment - my top pick and recommendation is the animated adaptation of a classic xmas tale - the polar express - it was just a great journey from beginning to end - and a bit dark and creepy at times - but i just loved it! twas magical and made me feel like a kid again! the animation was terrific and yes some of the characters seemed like souless zombies - but all in all - i cant say enough about it - of course i had read the classic childrens book upon which the movie is based - and the movie expanded the story a bit to make it a full adventure - popbytes isnt one for holiday themed entertainment but i was just amazed and totally hooked! so if yr up for a good holiday flick - popbytes says check out the polar express! |
ps - this just in tom hanks (in polar express) is now to star in the adaption of dan brown's best selling book the da vinci code - and ron howard has been tapped to direct! looks to be very promising...hanks and howard worked together on 'splash' and 'apollo 13' popbytes out for now!
