Mr. Trump never ceases to amaze me. His boardroom banter, his decisions for firing and the fiancee that never seems to talk…he sure does like them pretty and silent. Last night’s Apprentice showdown saw Kelly moving over to team Apex and the two teams competing in yet another advertising/marketing event…this time, involving Levi’s jeans. Where to begin? Let’s start with Team Apex, because let’s face it…they were the best! I have to tip my hat to Ivana. How someone has gone under the radar so long, that I don’t know. But she definitely delivered in this mission and her team has her to thank for their win, contrary to what Jennifer got credit for. And let me rip apart Jennifer for just a minute. Lawyers do not make good creative thinkers…they’re lawyers for god’s sake…they’re like the second coming of Satan! So the fact that she couldn’t visualize Ivana’s phenominal idea (which even W would have been able to draw out with his crayons on construction paper), doesn’t and shouldn’t surprise us. Ah, and so brings us to team Mosaic. Wes, Wes, Wes…you’re so pretty, but yet to gentle. If I were in your shoes and someone like Maria snapped at me and told me to stand back, I’d remind her who was in charge and give her a time out like she’s never seen. But, the team had no one but Maria to blame (through no fault of Wes’s). Their idea wasn’t even good. It was all about pretty photos and no substance. So it was no surprise that they lost…and who presents to a group like Levi’s and not even wear their merchandise?! I mean, come on! I’m sure everyone would agree that the biggest “surprise” of the whole hour was when Trump fired not only Maria, but Wes too. Either they need to speed up the series by a week, or he genuinely made a good decision for once…not based on trivial aspects of the competitors, but this time on sheer delivery and responsibility. | ![]() |
So, as a recap, we’re down to Andy (who may be the next one on the chopping block if he doesn’t gain a bit more confidence and start speaking his mind and being firm on his convictions), Ivana (unless someone steps up and admits that Apex’s win was her doing, Trump will continue to think she’s a waste of space), Jennifer (lawyers…Satan’s spaun!), Kelly (I still think that he’ll be one of the last two left to fight it out for the big win at the end of the season…he’s smart, he’s strong and he has impressive management skills that have thus far proven to be successful…okay, maybe not from last night), Kevin (I still love him for standing up to Elizabeth when she was consistently wishy washy), Sandy (she was great with the bridal shop challenge, but how does she do when she’s out of her comfort zone?). Before I sign out, hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving next week! | |
