APPRENTICE MUSINGS {2}

hey kids - another installment of my friend dana's musings on the apprentice...

Okay, I'm pretty sure my stars are aligned in hell.  First, the simple-minded people of America reelect to have our simpleton/evil president for another four years (don't even get me started on that), and then Trump fires Raj.  What next, will Elton John chastize Ashlee Simpson for lip syncing?! Anyway, as always, a very exciting Apprentice episode last night.  The teams had to work on two dilapidated homes on Long Island (MK, another show making LI look cheap and nasty!) in order to increase their appraised values for resale.  Both houses had their share of problems, mostly involving 70s throw backs like avocado counter tops and mustard yellow flooring. Sandy and Raj as project managers, overall, did a great job at keeping their teams happy and working together as they struggled to meet a 3pm deadline.  Raj's demise was definitely the choice made on his contractor.  Yes, Kevin made the recommendation and definitely backed up the contractor, but I think where Sandy really excelled was how she had more than one contractor working on the home.  So, quantity was her best friend and ultimately helped her win the mission.  Did I mention, a few oldies but goodies returned to the show (Bradford, Jennifer C - Cruela DeVille, Rob and Stacie J.).

Stacie J. confronted Ivana for making her look crazy on television and ultimately costing her professional opportunities due to the impression she made when she was a contender on the show.  But enough about that.

Why Raj?!  Yes, he's cocky, and yes, he's far older than his years, but the kid was fun to watch and he had good ideas, accepted blame for things that were his fault and held true to his convictions.

So, what do we think will happen next week?  I don't know.  At this point, ye ol' Donald has proven that anything can happen.  Will mildly-retarded, Long Island accented Chris be fired for his outburst in the boardroom last night?  Will Ivana finally be fired for wasting space and seeming useless (and for having less of a chest than a 7 year-old girl?), or will Kelly go because Trump is crazy?
