| oh boys and girls – we are all bound for a very tasty musical treat – fatbok slim aka mr norman cook is back – and in a big way – his latest album (its been a while!) is entitled palookaville – due out in stores the first week in october – this boy was very lucky to get my mits on an advanced copy – and i cant turn it off! its totally in his own fatboy style – oh its a fun one folks – i can remember when his first major cd hit – and it was a complete dance revelation & revolution (me and a good friend were convinced we had to bowl to this one song – we trudged in wind and cold – to be turned away due to a private party at those lanes in the east village – so at somepoint we will bowl to fatboy slim!) – so its a big throwback – and mista cook is back in his prime! its been 4 looooong yrs – but now with a jaunt to palookaville – its been well worth the wait – and with guest artist bootsy collins (the original space cowboy) on his first single ‘the joker’ – expect to hear a ton on fatboy slim in the coming weeks – here is what his labels says – A sense shattering, ass shaking, scinitllating slice of pop, rock, funk and dance that proves once and for all that NO ONE does it like Fatboy Slim. anyways its all good – popbytes grooving on out! |  |
