BIRTHDAYS ALL AROUND!

first off – happy birthday to my dear dad (aka paul) – i love cancers – i swear some of my best friends are cancers (ie stephanie) – i happen to be a capricorn (january) (the lone goat climbing the pop culture mountain – and i will achieve success) – so a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY – and here is the neat thing – altho i thought i was sometimes special since my birthday lands on MLK jr day sometimes – but my dad’s birthday lands right on the ‘official’ birth of rock & roll – and this year – rock turns the big 50 – and you know popbytes – with my love of courtney love (who embodies rock to me – at the moment) – and almost all things rock! so happy birthday dad – and rock & roll – what a great day – rock started 50 yrs ago with an elvis presley recording – and now i find out that prince celebrated the 20th anniv of purple rain (what a truly kick-ass tune) – now i really feel old! not as old as my dad :) – but gosh golly the time sure does fly…


popbytes out for now…im about to watch farenheit 9/11 by way of a ‘copy’ (love u natalie & ben) – so expect a huge posting on what is the sure to catch movie of the year – shit watch this take best picture – it will be like when beauty & the beast got nominated for best picture (follow me – first animated picture to be nominated – and now first documentary to be nominated – i hope it doesnt have to be in the doc category) – i love michael moore – and cant wait to see his latest…much love folks…


ps next week i will return with the moanday update its been a hectic two weeks (melissa rivers?!?) – but i did manage to work in some cosmetic fixes to the site – im only slightly obsessed as you can tell…jeez soon i will need to post a pic of the boy behind the popbytes curtain…


pss on a sad note my courtney love concert that was to take place on july 23rd right here in hollywood (palladium) – has been ‘postponed’ – but they are refunding money so it doesnt look good (my lovely lady friend gillian was flying in from NYC just to see her) – i swear if that bitch drops dead from an overdose – i would be beside myself – really – honestly – i mean that..popbytes would go black…so even if you dont like her – for me – keep her in yr thoughts an prayers – yes she is a fucked up lady – but a true talent – a rock & roll icon…
