MORE RANDOMNESS

ok i caught the tail end of THE COLOR PURPLE the other night on TV – this is like one of the BEST movies – i swear i could watch it every day – i just LOVE it – but made me think of watching BELOVED again on dvd – i saw it the day it came out back in ’98 and hadnt seen it since – ok for those people who havent seen – i warn – its 171 minutes – its a tough story to swallow – but damn – i just love this movie – oprah rocks again – thandie newton as beloved is amazing – and YO! – lisa gay hamilton from one of MY FAVE shows THE PRACTICE – is also in it – it was a pleasant surprise – in 98 – i dont think i watched THE PRACTICE – was it even on in 98 – i think so (dont worry much much soon to be discussed on upcoming season) – anyway im digressing – although BELOVED was kinda bomb at the boxoffice – i really like and recommend this movie – haunting soundtrack – amazing direction by jonathan demme – go rent it – AND it goes without saying but if you havent seen THE COLOR PURPLE – you should be ashamed!!!
