a silent night with tori amos

hey y’all! can you believe it’s already december tomorrow?! where the hell did 2009 go? now that thanksgiving is over – the holiday season is kicking into extra high gear (some eager beavers already have xmas trees up) i do enjoy all the cozy and warm cheery sentiments flying around at this time of the year (yet everything is so over commercialized it’s annoying) i’ll even admit to tossing on a drop of holiday music (and roasting chestnuts – my parrot max loves ’em) my faves include rupaul‘s 1997 album ho ho ho (campy fun) and barbara streisand‘s 1967 release a christmas album (her version of jingle bells rocks) this year i’ve added another one into the mix – tori amos‘ first seasonal album midwinter graces which i posted about three weeks ago – i really like it – and brings tori back to her classic ‘girl and a piano’ vibe – below is the new video (a performance in an LA studio) for a silent night with you – one of the tracks penned by ms. amos! it’s amazing and will probably bring a tear to your eye – it’s just such a sweet sentimental song! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo
