2013 People's Choice Awards

In all the hoopla of the Acacemy Award nominations, the snubs, the surprises, and the shameless guessing I may or may not have made regarding who would win (PUT ALL OF MY LIFE SAVINGS ON SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK) we almost forgot that the People’s Choice Awards were last night. Yes, the People’s Choice Awards; they’re basically the Oscars‘ not-as-hot sister who makes up for it by putting out at the drop of a hat. See what I mean? Puts out like that. There’s no other reason why anyone would spend this much time pretending like One Direction isn’t just five auto-tuned newborns with funny wigs. Can you imagine if millions of people actually liked thinly manufactured music that panders to the lowest common denominator? HILARIOUS!
